However, for simple uses such as engraving wood, plastic or other softer materials than metals/ceramics it will certainly get the job done.
While it would be possible to engrave on metal it would certainly take a longer time than a professional device.
That said, there is still a skill involved, so perhaps those with the low reviews just don't have the skill to pull this off or are choosing the incorrect materials to engrave on
fyi I bought this in apr 2026 for the same/similar price

However, for simple uses such as engraving wood, plastic or other softer materials than metals/ceramics it will certainly get the job done.
While it would be possible to engrave on metal it would certainly take a longer time than a professional device.
That said, there is still a skill involved, so perhaps those with the low reviews just don't have the skill to pull this off or are choosing the incorrect materials to engrave on
