5th Gen NVMe drives run quite a bit warmer than the previous generations. This will handle continuous writes without thermal throttling the drive.

Starting to worry about my SSDs now. I don't have anything remotely this robust for a heat sink.

I have some without any heat sinks. They've been going strong for years now. I try not to stress them too much, however.

No need to overclock them, the high speed SSDs get quite hot, this just prevents thermal throttling. But with current SSD prices it doesn't help much to get a good deal on the heatsink unfortunately.

I use these for a mostly silent nvme nas. I have 8 of them on 2 HBA's. They take up a bit of space. But they work fantastic for silent cooling.

Deal gone, $9.90 now.

BTW, I have the silver version of this heatsink. Looks much better than the mobo heatspreader.

Your drives are fine. This is so you can stick it out the hood and tear ass around the block. Vroom vroom!
