Anyone use something like this in their non carplay/android auto vehicles? I have 2016 Acura MDX, great car but I always wished it had carplay/android auto for better navigation. Might give this a try and return if it doesn't work well.

buy one 10 inch wide style and just buy extra allstate warranty on it offered by amazon. most of these go out of business after a year or few months but they do work ok for the most part. bought few no name brands recently

If you look up in Amazon site deeper, every now and then, you can find these cheaper, although this deal is fair. (Purchased 10.26" for $45, and 9" for $35 previously)

What's been your experience dealing with the Allstate warranty? Is it an easy claims filing process? I see this product uses asurion

I bought a unit like this and everything worked great except for taking calls. The mic was placed on the back side of the unit, so my voice sounded low quality and like it was far away.

Looking for a unit with the mic at the front, but its not often listed in descriptions.

To be clear I don't know if this specific unit has the same issue.

I've been very happy with it. It completely exceeded expectations. I've only had it for about a week and some reviews claim they die after 6 months, but other people report theirs lasting years. I also got a CD mount so I don't have to mount it on the dash and it looks way better.

I have this in my 08 RDX and it works like a charm. Apple play, setup is easy, pairing w phone etc.

I just received mine. I have it set up in my wifes 2016 MDX. I have it on a CD player mount because I did not want to mount on the windshield and block visibility. It was fairly easy to set up and pair. It took me a while to figure out how to get the audio to play thru the car speakers. You need to go to the main menu and select Audio Output and then select BT Audio. For ~$60 it's a cheap way to add a modern feature to an older car.
