Not sure what that first comment was about. But this is a pretty decent light. However, I don't use it as a headlamp but mostly as a right angle hand held light while repairing stuff in tighter spaces.

I paid $18 for mine, not worth it. It has a small battery and it's heavy for what you get out of it. I have a bunch of headlamps including super cheap Nero and this is the only one I do not use. I want to love it, but I have to charge it all the time. I do like Wurkkos as a brand though, I have a few of their lights.

I also have this lamp and while, I was excited about it.. between the downright confusing UI, the pretty short battery life, as well as the awkward holding angle for handheld, it is my least used light. I'd rather anyone who grabs my flashlight reliably be able to use it (granted, you can turn it into "simple" mode, but.. its just a whole feature that I can't get behind.) it also just.. doesn't emit much light. But if you like the gimmicky lightning mode, hey, this might be the light for you! I did get a kick out of that for about 5 minutes.

I think they mean they'd like to run both the rechargeable and have the option to run AA if needed (plenty of other lights do this) the battery on this is nearly the same size as a AA, so the fact it doesn't have that interchangeability when, it absolutely could is a downside.

For anyone who's never heard of them, Wurkkos is a legit brand that makes high-quality lights for the pricepoint. They've been around a good long time now. User interfaces can be confusing when there are so many features jammed into devices that often have only one button, but that's more of an issue with the form factor than the manufacturer. I have three Wurkkos lights that I've been very pleased with for most of a decade.
