This rechargeable Banral zoom flashlight is praised for being very bright, with multiple brightness levels, a flashing mode, and a zoom that tightens the beam into a circle. The USB C charging and pocket clip make it handy for quick jobs around the yard, basement, or worksite, and the pair has held up well for years in some cases. The main concern is battery confusion, since the listing says NiMH while the battery markings and fit point toward a 18650 style lithium cell. It can also run hot and may turn on in a pocket, so it is best treated as a short use light.
Common Questions (5)
The listing says built-in rechargeable NiMH, but the battery inside is reported as a 3.7V 2200mAh cell marked "LED 18RL27" and described as 18650-style. That means the flashlight appears to use a lithium-ion-type battery despite the NiMH wording on the product page.
A standard 18650 does not always fit or work in this flashlight, and one report says swapping in an 18650 failed. Another report says a button-top 18650 fits, charges, and works, so compatibility may depend on the cell's length and top style.
It is described as surprisingly bright, with 3 brightness levels, a flashing mode, and a zoom that tightens the beam into a circle. The light is also reported to be useful for short tasks like yard work or basement trips.
It can get very warm after several minutes, and one report says it turned on in a pocket and was extremely hot to the touch. Because of that, it may be better to avoid carrying it loose in a pocket.
One report says it does not last more than about half an hour, so runtime may be short for continuous use. It is better suited to brief tasks than long sessions.

DANGEROUS
This flashlight exploded in my 4 year old's hand!!! It caused burns and started a fire. DO NOT BUY!
As to other 18650s not fitting, sometimes the slots made for button-top cells are a few mm too long for flat-top cells, or the reverse, or the wrap on a cell is thicker than on another. The "18RL27" that was mentioned is (supposedly) 18650-sized.
With that being said, I do not carry them in my pocket. I tried it one time and wore it to work. When I got to work I pulled it out of my pocket and it was on (must have turned on in my pocket without me knowing it). It was extremely hot to the touch, so I don't wear it anymore. I just keep one at work and keep another at home.
For $10 they're well worth it.
