This rechargeable Banral zoom flashlight is praised for being very bright, with multiple brightness levels, a flashing mode, and a zoom that tightens the beam into a circle. The USB C charging and pocket clip make it handy for quick jobs around the yard, basement, or worksite, and the pair has held up well for years in some cases. The main concern is battery confusion, since the listing says NiMH while the battery markings and fit point toward a 18650 style lithium cell. It can also run hot and may turn on in a pocket, so it is best treated as a short use light.
The flashlight can produce surprisingly bright light with multiple brightness levels and a flashing mode.
The zoom mechanism can tighten the beam pattern and the zoom output forms a circle rather than a square.
The flashlight can be convenient for repeated use because it is rechargeable and uses USB-C charging.
The flashlight can keep working well over time, with reports of continued performance after a couple years.
The battery type and compatibility can be unclear because pictures and battery markings suggest lithium while the listing description mentions built-in rechargeable NiMH.
18650 batteries may fail to work in these flashlights, and the battery label may indicate a different cell type.
The flashlight can get extremely hot during pocket carry or after several minutes of use, which raises safety and long-term concerns.
Runtime can be short, with reports that the flashlight does not last more than about half an hour.

DANGEROUS
This flashlight exploded in my 4 year old's hand!!! It caused burns and started a fire. DO NOT BUY!
As to other 18650s not fitting, sometimes the slots made for button-top cells are a few mm too long for flat-top cells, or the reverse, or the wrap on a cell is thicker than on another. The "18RL27" that was mentioned is (supposedly) 18650-sized.
With that being said, I do not carry them in my pocket. I tried it one time and wore it to work. When I got to work I pulled it out of my pocket and it was on (must have turned on in my pocket without me knowing it). It was extremely hot to the touch, so I don't wear it anymore. I just keep one at work and keep another at home.
For $10 they're well worth it.
