Just a heads up, this brand (and a few others) is in the hot seat right now for cutting many of it's "100% Avocado Oil" products with seed oils. It's mayo and dressings all tested positive by UC Davis for >10% seed oils (they didn't release the exact estimated percent). In their 2020 study, Chosen's oil was found to be one of the clean ones, but they were bought up by a private equity firm in 2021. Chosen put out a BS statement about how they weren't aware and it wasn't their fault, but they control their entire supply chain, from the avocado farms down to the finished product.

Marianne's Harvest avocado oil was used by UC Davis as the "authentic reference oil", meaning it was found to be pure and other oils were compared against it. Chosen and Marianne's were previously the only two common brands that were found to be pure, but now we're down to one now that Chosen was bought out and now adulterated.

The people at these companies responsible for scamming customers need to start being prosecuted. Enough is enough.

Solid deal. Aldi alternative is $8 for 16oz but this seems like a more premium brand.

I don't pay attention to the fear mongering. Life has risks and a little seed oil isn't killing anyone

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and views. Life does have lots of risks, fully agree on that point!

Will seed oils kill anyone? No. You are correct.

Can certain seed oils objectively contribute to long term adverse health conditions? Yes.

Can you show me proof that seed oils cause long term affects?

That's a fair question. Yes, I can discuss. I choose my words carefully, which I presume you noticed. The oils do contribute to adverse health outcomes.

Plenty of studies show heavily processed and hydrogenated oils (artificial trans fats), which are cause severe cardiovascular damage. Esp how it's consumed (e.g high temps, which further modify it). This can be related to good fat/ bad fat convo

There more significant risks stem from how they are produced, stored, and prepared (e.g. the highest risk is not simply consuming the oils). Certain oils, such as avocado oil, have significantly lower risks in these areas

Even if there are mixed findings about seed oil, I'm not buying a product with a label that says 100% Avocado Oil that is actually over 10% seed oil.

Nothing premium about being blatantly lied to.

Best info is that this is 100% . The rest is speculation

People deal with risk 24/7 but that's not the point. I want to make sure the company is selling what it advertises before I buy. If not, I move on.
