This AstroAI digital tire pressure gauge and inflator is aimed at basic tire inflation and pressure checks, and it can handle everything from low pressure mower tires to heavy duty truck tires. The gauge reads accurately for several setups, matches tire pressure monitoring system and analog readings, and has stayed reliable for months or years in some cases. The main drawbacks are durability and fit, with reports of units dying, tips unscrewing, broken dials, and a chuck that does not lock on well. A practical pick if the price matters and the included chuck does not need to be perfect.

Common Questions (5)

  • It can be very accurate and match both a TPMS readout and an analog gauge, and some units have stayed reliable for months or years. A few units have also failed early or started reading low until the batteries were replaced.

  • Some units have lasted several years, but others have died after about two years or broken after a drop. The tip can also unscrew and get lost, so tightening it before use helps.

  • It can handle heavy-duty tires up to 110 psi and also read low pressures around 10 psi for zero-turn mower tires. It has been used successfully on 1/2-ton truck tires and a tractor as well.

  • The included chuck can be hard to engage and may not lock onto the valve stem very well. Some owners have replaced the air chuck with a LockNFlate end for better usability.

  • No, the title can be misleading: it is a digital tire pressure gauge with inflator accessories, not a built-in 12V compressor. If you want an all-in-one compressor, this model does not fill that role.

The chuck on this sucks. Doesn't lock onto valve very good. It works but is annoying. Wouldn't buy again.

I bought the analog version last week. Only concern is longevity because the handle is plastic, including the threads where the 1/4" hose connection threads in.

Bought one last year. Didn't last too long. I accidentally dropped it and the dial broke off.

I have one and it works great on heavy duty 395/85R20 tires that takes up to 110psi. I might just grab another one at this price.
I guess I got the rare ok one like you did, mine has been working fine for about 9 months. I needed something that could read 10 psi for zero turn tires, as well as inflating the tires on my 1/2 ton truck and my tractor.

Also bought one and it's completely junk. The clip on is hard to engage and the seal flew off after 3 uses. They are trying to piggy back on Astro Tools brand name. AVOID like a plague.

have one of these and they've worked great for the past 6 months, use them with a retractable hose to air up my tires. so far so good and the PSI read out matches my TPM readout and analog pressure gauge.
