No CO sensor, so that alone puts it above many other generator choices.

It's an inverter, so it will be a little quieter. Big enough to run most medium sized houses.

Dual-Fuel so if you never put gasoline in it, you'll never get a gummed up carburetor. Propane never gets old.

FYI: According to Pulsar's website listing for this generator, it is rated at 68 decibels at one-quarter load. Not sure where Walmart got the 50 dB rating. Obviously a huge difference in noise between 50 dB and 68 dB. This is an open frame inverter generator, so 68 dB is probably more accurate than 50 dB. https://www.pulsar-products.com/p...or-gd10kbn

You know no one at Walmart's web design has ever owned a generator.

50db would be as quiet as a little suitcase Honda or something.

The picture has 50dB but the spec has 68dB. Someone got lazy and didn't bother updating the pic, maybe.

The 12000W version is cheaper than this. It's also duel fuel, so wouldn't that be better deal? Honest question since I know nothing about this. Just felt interesting since I feel like I need it whenever there's an outage ... lol

12k watt is not an inverter generator.

The 12kw version is not an inverter and has a way beefier engine, so it's a little louder.

But it is way easier to service, and again, no CO sensor to fail (a CO Sentry or whatever is NEVER a feature, it's always a penalty).

It's a great deal too; you just have to decide if a little bit more noise, and 100 pounds more weight is worth all the extra power.
