The OontZ Angle Solo is a tiny Bluetooth speaker that stands out for portability, easy shower or desk use, and strong value at this price. Long-term ownership reports stretch from several years to nearly a decade, with solid battery life, reliable pairing, and enough durability to handle rain, drops, and daily use. Sound is generally described as good for the money, though bass is limited and the small size will not deliver big volume. The charging port details are inconsistent, with USB C and micro USB both appearing in the listing, so that is worth verifying.

Not sure where you see that. I don't and note it's a 4.6 avg rating. This brand was my first two BT speakers and for the price were great. My current ones have Alexa and that's why I stopped using them.

Not sure why the thumbs down to this comment.
Is it a good speaker? Yes.
Are some people still ok with micro-USB charging? Sure.
Is it ideal to have on a device of this form factor and price range with tons of competitive alternatives late-2026? I don't think so.
It was worth mentioning and as others have pointed out, the next model up that has gotten more incremental updates over the years is only $3 more and has USB-C charging.

If you love it, it is a great sounding speaker and there's nothing wrong with being ok with micro-usb. If you don't want it because of micro-USB and instead opt to go for a model with USB-C in a similar form factor and price range, that's understandable.

Eshark, you gave me a thumb's down apparently and I'm not sure why. It has a good rating overall and I don't see where Amazon says it's frequently returned. Please educate us as to me even if I can't spell or pronounce the name Cambridge Soundworks gave it, their lineup has been amongst the best I've listened to dollar for dollar when on a budget. I gave one away and have the other in a draw only because I graduated to UE Blast and Megablast speakers that are phenomenal. Although no longer made, they still sound great and I have no need to replace them. These Angle spears in my view can't be beat if you're looking for a single small speaker (I don't know if they can be paired).

I don't think the thumbs down is because they are fine with micro-USB. I believe it is because literally under the title on the Amazon page, it lists this:
Compact 5W Bluetooth speaker with clear sound, 100-ft range, IPX5, mic, AUX Input and USB-C Charging Cable.
I don't think they would include a USB-C cable if it only has a micro-USB interface.

Yup, I saw that too. It would be nice if someone who has recently purchased could clarify this because most products that include usb-c charging tend to make that a highlighted point in the marketing materials and this one does not (at least not that I saw). In fact if you go down and do the search bar just over the reviews and ask what type of charging cable it uses it will specify micro USB charging. I know these have been around for years and long running models will occasionally get updated hardware without much updated marketing but still, you would think they would make some effort. Even the product info just says USB charging (not the clearest descriptor) lol
