The OontZ Angle Solo is a tiny Bluetooth speaker that stands out for portability, easy shower or desk use, and strong value at this price. Long-term ownership reports stretch from several years to nearly a decade, with solid battery life, reliable pairing, and enough durability to handle rain, drops, and daily use. Sound is generally described as good for the money, though bass is limited and the small size will not deliver big volume. The charging port details are inconsistent, with USB C and micro USB both appearing in the listing, so that is worth verifying.

  • Long-term ownership reports show the OontZ Angle Solo can keep working for years with consistent performance.

  • The speaker can function well for shower use and can survive getting wet, dropped, or spilled.

  • The speaker includes a 1/8-inch AUX jack for wired listening when Bluetooth is not ideal.

  • Some buyers report reliable Bluetooth connections for desk use such as sports talk and news.

Great about 10 years ago. The cheap brands have caught up and passed it. No better than something a dollar store carries.

Correction, I have the model up its not worth this much. This one is definitely not worth more than $5.

Eshark, you gave me a thumb's down apparently and I'm not sure why. It has a good rating overall and I don't see where Amazon says it's frequently returned. Please educate us as to me even if I can't spell or pronounce the name Cambridge Soundworks gave it, their lineup has been amongst the best I've listened to dollar for dollar when on a budget. I gave one away and have the other in a draw only because I graduated to UE Blast and Megablast speakers that are phenomenal. Although no longer made, they still sound great and I have no need to replace them. These Angle spears in my view can't be beat if you're looking for a single small speaker (I don't know if they can be paired).
It says frequently returned item when I look at it

Why would anyone buy a non-stereo bluetooth speaker? The only use I can think of is for white noise.
I am skeptical anyone more than a foot from the speaker could tell the difference in stereo or mono on anything this small. The speakers on this would be like an inch apart if they were stereo.

Model up is $3 more.

How do you see $3 more? This speaker is $13.99. The other one is $19.99. The difference is $6.
Regardless, you are right about model up. I just cancelled my order of the $13.99.
But I am not ready to re-order yet. Prime day is soon. Maybe I will buy it in Prime day.

I had the Ultra model for about 7 years before a screw inside shook loose. It still worked but because of the bass, it rattled. I took it on many trips, had it in the shower daily, and dropped it so many times. It was my favorite BT speaker ever. I got the Solo as a replacement just for the shower, because I have a bigger Anker BT speaker for when I need louder music. I paid $15 but it didn't come with the lanyard so I emailed Cambridge and they partially refunded me $3. Great device, great customer service.

I've had this speaker for 5 years or so, use it regularly and it still works great. The sound is just ok, but it's good for what you pay for

Got the smaller one, it does have USB-C. But the sound sucks. Not much volume, and at higher volumes it sounds very tinny. Worth $14? Not even sure. My old Soundcore mini is much better.

Is the sound on the 5 inch version significantly better?

This isn't the Cambridge Soundworks that Henry Kloss founded in 1988. It was sold long ago to Creative Labs and moved to Singapore. Quality went down the pits.
While it's true it was sold, for the price, you can't do better.

Not Fake news its states right on the Amazon Listing its a frequently returned item. Might want to put a pair of eyeglasses on. lol
Where? I checked again and still don't see it. With a 4.6 rating, even after removing the likely fake positive reviews, show me a better speaker for $14.

I bought my first Angle speaker to listen to sports talk and news at my desk as I worked. That was years ago and it was flawless in connecting and in sound quality. Stereo was not needed for those purposes.

Not accurate. Description says USB-C
Not so sure about that. The title says USB-C, but under the specs it says Micro-USB, and the reviews seem to back that up. So does this review: https://youtu.be/cqu47_2Ev_I?t=88
