TIL there's a difference between the G4 and G40 models. I thought the G40 was the successor to the G3XMN which was the best non-OLED. you could buy if you wanted HDR for gaming.
AOC literally has "refurb" OLED on eBay every other week for $230-245
What's your point? Mini-Led and Oled really aren't comparable as they do different things better and worse. Want more then 200-250 nits SDR Mini-Led it is.

Mini LED is great but you have to pay 1.5-2x the price of an entry level OLED (now $250-350) in order to get decent dimming zones, and you still have to deal with haloing.
Every office should have blinds or curtains so brightness is a bit of an edge case unless you like to move your monitor to the patio to work in direct sunlight.
Burn in has gotten to be almost moot the past couple generations.
Trust me, try out OLED for gaming. It is awesome. If you're worried about burn in, get one from Costco in case the small chance manufacturer is shitty and won't fix it.

miniLED is far superior for work/hybrid monitors. OLEDS peak for gaming. But if you want a workhorse that can do both a $300 OLED is most definitely not the move. Far healthier to work in a room 8 hours a day with natural light than turn your office into a sunless man cave so you can read your spreadsheets on an OLED. Not to mention turning the lights on for calls when you are on camera lol.
I have an OLED tv and steam deck. It's getting tiring every time one of these incredibly priced miniLED's get posted a bunch of people jump on it with "get a budget OLED instead." It's not apples to apples and OLED does have real weaknesses for productivity/work use.

I've been using a 32" 4K OLED S3225QC for months working from home. It is basically a step up from this monitor, though lower refresh rate. It's not dim. Only in maybe very bright days over the summer for a handful of days. So, most days I get my natural light. Even then, though, my past LCD panels struggled to keep up with brightness too.
Mini LED panels should not be more expensive than OLED, unless it is an ultra wide or special model, period. We got an 85" TCL QM6K that is mini LED because the alternative was 50% more expensive and smaller, on top of the fact TV panels with mini LED have made massive strides in coming closer to OLED but gaming monitors have not been able to compete on price with budget OLED in that aspect.
