This pre order for Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 is mainly attractive as a $10 off launch price on a high demand Nintendo release, with the physical edition priced above the digital version and the gold foil cover tied to pre ordering. The comments also frame it as a rare discount for a brand new Nintendo game, with little expectation of deeper cuts soon. The main caveat is that the same price has appeared elsewhere, and the U.S. version has no pre order bonus. It is a solid early price if you want the physical release and do not want to wait for holiday pricing.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. The $59.88 pre-order is about $10 off the $69.99 physical MSRP, and it matches the standard $59.99 digital price. It is roughly a 15% discount off retail.
It may not. The game has no US pre-order bonus, and Nintendo titles often stay near retail for a long time, so this price may be close to what you see through the holidays and possibly for the next year or two.
A Walmart price of $50 was mentioned with the SAVE3X code, but the code was also reported as not working. That makes the Amazon pre-order a more reliable option at the posted price.
Yes. The gold foil cover version is limited-time, so pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee that version when you buy it.
