I spotted this on clearance at my local store for $26.97 yesterday and went back first thing this morning and bought it. Other nearby stores show as $54 or out of stock. I wish it was $14, but still happy I was able to get one for $27. I'd recommend going to your store if you plan to purchase so you can pick it out yourself. Several of the ones my store had in stock were pretty beat up, and I had to test out about 5 different lids to find one that fit properly. The reviews on these aren't the greatest and the lid could definitely be better. It seems like it will work for it's intended purpose, but the plastic definitely isn't as sturdy as you would find with other brands. I can't justify paying more than I did for a garbage can - hopefully this one holds up long enough to feel like I got my money's worth.

At least you can inspect it when you arrive to pick it up to be sure you're happy with the one reserved for you before you leave.

I could use one for camping. Fill it up with gear. Put it in the back of truck and wheel it to the campsite.

Cheaper ones I bought really do not last long. If you need to take garbage out to curb, I really agree getting a strong and large bin is essential. This could be a good option for recycle but for that I got the blue bin from home depot that also works good without being huge. Toter is not going on sale though.
