Planted around 30 last year, very tall expensive ones and very small ones, all totally eaten by deer. The taller ones are totally bare from the bottom to where the deer can't reach. The smaller ones completely gone....total waste of money and effort! Much slower growing than advertised too.

I have 30 Thuja on my property and they're all healthy. I bought them all at 4-5 feet at Lowes and Home Depot. I planted the bulk in 2011 and those are now over 40 feet tall. They won't grow 5 feet a year, but 3-4 feet is about average.
