I've been using the multitool sanding pad for spot sanding and then just hitting it with a high grit sanding block to finish. My head tells me that's the right thing, my heart tells me i need an M12 random orbital detail sander more than anything in the world right now.

You need multiple sanders if you're really doing woodworking. I have the 6" Bosch corded, 5" Milwaukee, I'm debating if getting this or the angle type to sand the corner. Seem like I need both, but my beginner woodworking hobby first justify getting both.

I did too but I honestly use it way less than I thought I would. Mainly cause the dust collection was pretty bad the few times I did use it when refinishing a walnut nightstand.
