The Deco X55 mesh system is aimed at extending WiFi through larger homes and plaster walls, with easy backward compatibility for existing Deco nodes and a setup that can be expanded without running new wires. Speed and range improved noticeably after upgrading from Deco S4, and the app and overall reliability were praised in some setups. The main cautions are that dual band wireless backhaul can share bandwidth, so throughput may drop versus tri band systems, and some setups saw lag spikes, bottlenecks, or weaker performance unless nodes were placed carefully or wired backhaul was used. A solid fit when coverage matters more than top tier raw speed.
Homeowners with plaster walls and an upstairs office, because the mesh can push signal through dead zones without running new wires.
Households replacing an aging router with a simple mesh upgrade, because speed and range can improve significantly after installation.
People who want a no-wires mesh layout, because the nodes communicate wirelessly and can be repositioned for better coverage.
Families expanding an existing Deco setup, because backward compatibility lets older nodes keep working in the same house.
Gamers or latency-sensitive households, because bufferbloat and huge lag spikes can persist even after changing settings.
Homes that need dedicated backhaul performance, because the dual-band design can share 5 GHz between clients and mesh traffic.
Parents relying on device blocking, because the parental controls can miss websites and bedtime blocking can be hit or miss.
Xbox Series X owners using 160 MHz channels, because the mesh can act funky with that channel width and force a drop to 80 MHz.

The Deco X55 is only dual band so that means one of the wireless bands (likely 5ghz) will be shared between clients and wireless backhaul duty, slowing down traffic for clients...

The one primary advantage to wifi7 is it's the first wifi standard that is full duplex. For most people this won't amount to much but if you are looking for low latency (e.g. gaming) it could offer an advantage, but even most hardcore gamers I know use cabled to ensure lowest possible latency. Truth be told wifi5 is still more than adequate for 99% of households.
The bigger factors to look into is how they implement wireless vs the spec itself. E.g. how many antennas, does it have a dedicated channel / antenna for back haul, proper mimo support, beam forming, seamless roaming (handoff from one node to another without disconnecting sessions), stability of router, regular security updates, value add features like VPN server, etc.
