This bundle pairs a standard Xbox Wireless Controller with $50 in Microsoft account credit, making it most useful if you already wanted both a controller and store credit. The controller is praised as one of the better budget options for PC and for how it fits in hand, and the gift card can be used on Microsoft Store purchases like apps or a Surface. The main drawback is recurring stick drift, with some also noting button wear and limited repairability on newer Series controllers. A solid value if the credit fits your plans.

Not a bad deal if you're already planning to get a gift card but stick drift will eventually be an issue

Great deal if you need a controller, it's a shame that stick drift is so common.

Are you guys talking about this particular controller for stick drift issue? Or all Xbox controllers in general?

I need a new one as the one that came with my Xbox just started having stick drift after 3 years.

Most of the ones made after 2020 by Microsoft stick drift quickly.

Yes it can drift and their finger buttons can prematurely fail. There are other options out there. But for whatever reason, these controllers sit better in my hands than others. To each their own.

It's an ok deal if you're in the market for 2 controllers - one from Newegg and the other using the GC to purchase at the MS store.

Does the Xbox gift card count as general Microsoft credit? i.e., can it be spent on non-Xbox Microsoft purchases?

I haven't bought a controller in about five years, but boy, these have gotten expensive.

Decent deal if you need another black controller. I'd order it if the controller was any other color than the Black or White controller. Got a few too many extra of those already.

Fairly certain it's for the xbox store only, not Microsoft.

This is true IME. Controller from 2018 One S is still working but the controller from my 2023 series x has developed stick drift.
