This one is rated 57/100 by CR. Not well rated for noise nor dust, pollen, and smoke removal on low setting - OK on high.

For $130 this is probably a better choice:
Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier for Home and Small-Medium 938 Ft² Rooms, Black
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V6JB...title&th=1

I have the large one and it's great.

I'm still happy with mine that i got around $120-150ish throughout the years. Though, yeah, the low and mid speeds are pretty weak. I actually love the sound of the blower on high and the automatic operation via the air quality sensor is perfect, so it doesn't really bother me.

rtings still puts it in their notable mentions in their top purifiers list.
https://www.rtings.com/air-purifi...-purifiers

RTINGS: "The Coway Airmega 200M is a capable air purifier for medium-sized spaces, pairing good particle filtration with a hands-off automatic mode that can even shut the fan off when air quality remains high. That said, the Winix 5530 cleans larger spaces more effectively while adding smartphone app connectivity."

Look for reliability. I have a Whirlpool Whispure 510. It's been in operation since 2013. The fan has some wobble for the first few minutes after starting, but the purifier operates quietly thereafter.

The Winix purifier I purchased 2 years ago is a total wreck and it's about to be replaced. The Winix fan went out of round after just 1 year and the motor also makes a high frequency rattle.

I have 6 of these in my home and they're actually great despite what CR says. I have 4 cats and 2 kids with seasonal allergies too. They have an auto-sensor mode and will kick up higher as needed to clear the air and then ramp back down when nothing is in the air to filter. You can manually set the fan speed too if you wish. I use them on high at night as white noise as well for the bedrooms.

I have had no issues with these for years and they make a real and noticeable different in the homes air-quality.

I buy the 3rd party made replacement pre-filter and hepa-filters and it's been reasonable cost wise over the years as well.
