Given current pricing, perfectly fine if you want to mostly stream from PC (moonlight etc.) but if you want to play decently demanding games on it directly, lower your expectations on the Z2Go chip. I would probably try to get a used Z1E version for 5-600.

Given current pricing, perfectly fine if you want to mostly stream from PC (moonlight etc.) but if you want to play decently demanding games on it directly, lower your expectations on the Z2Go chip. I would probably try to get a used Z1E version for 5-600.

I believe the Xbox Rog Ally is the better device overall and it's also on sale but a few bucks more (but it's Windows by default).

Can confirm, most AAA games still push my z1e and you really have to fine tune things. Cannot imagine on z2 chip and half the ram.... I bought mine open box and it was brand new from BB. That being said when you compare this to a switch (apples to oranges I know), it is a great value especially for a handheld in this current market. Most games i play on my legion go are games I don't want to play on my PC. For example I bought both Hades games, technically a hack and slash, and have over 100 hours between both alone. Paid $5 for one steam key, $20 for the other. Slay the spire and balatro also get you crazy amounts of hours for cheap. Same games on switch are like 3x the price. If the goal is casual on the go gaming, you would be hard pressed to get more value on literally any other console.

Depends on what you mean by better. I think the Z2Go in this one is faster but the Ally is more portable.

If you're going to play games that are not graphically demanding, I highly recommend giving the Retroid Pocket 5 running Pocknix a try. Amazing little device that fits in your pocket and does pretty well for games where you do not need a high powered GPU.

While that's true, if you're using it strictly for emulation that's not a terrible move. Some Steam games will run well now too, at least on the Ayn devices.
