However, reviews are quite bad overall... seems to have poor battery that fails within a few charge cycles...

I picked up another set knowing I could return the first one and the second set doesn't seem to have the same problem, at least not yet. Second set claims to be made in Cambodia and the first set, China. Maybe they corrected the issue with poorly sourced batteries.
I picked up the pair of these with the 3 color temperature settings because I'd like to have a couple more. Hopefully they don't just turn into e-waste.
They last about a week to a week and 1/2, then you need to pull them down and charge them. After a handful of times, they don't get charged.
Like mine now, they lased about 2 weeks, then have not touched them in over a month. It's just a pain to put them down, plug them in to charge (wait a few hours) then plug them in.
The wife and kids say it's nice but, they never charge them, so it's just me with 50K other things going on...
