Amazon Basics 13 gallon drawstring trash bags are a low cost kitchen bag option that works well for everyday bin to outside can use. The drawstrings fit well for some, the bags are reported to hold 15 to 20 pounds, and long term use has been fine for several households with no leaks or tears. The main drawbacks are fit and consistency, with reports of bags tearing, seams splitting, drawstrings failing, and some boxes arriving with sealing defects. A solid everyday pick if your trash loads stay fairly light.

  • The drawstrings can be strong enough for regular kitchen-to-outside bin use without frequent failures.

  • The deal price can drop to $6.47 with a first-time Subscribe & Save discount plus an additional 25% off.

  • The bags can handle about 15-20 pounds of household garbage without leaking or tearing easily.

  • The bags can work well for moving trash from a kitchen bin to an outside bin without leak or tear issues over years.

  • The bags can tear easily and the ties can separate from the bag during use, creating mess risk.

  • The bags can leak liquids and the drawstrings can be poorly designed so they do not seal or close effectively.

  • The heat-sealing process can be inconsistent, with bags sealed on both ends or not sealed at all.

  • The bags can fit poorly on some 13-gallon kitchen waste baskets and can cause drawstring breakage near full loads.

Nothing, you just cancel and you won't receive future shipments.

for a $10 outlay it is. about 11.5c a bag. Ideally 10cents or less is the goal, but often you have to spend more/get more to achieve that these days.

Trash bags have gotten pricey of late.
Trash bags are made from oil.

Been using Amazon bags for 3 years, never had an issue. Recently bought some Target bags as well, no issues so far, got them because they were very cheap on a deal.

Sure. When I stretch them to fit my regulation size trash can the seam splits on the side. Never happened in my whole life. Lesson learned
that's pretty bad

90% of the 5088 people that rated them didn't think they were crap. Everyone has different standards I guess. I just need it to make it from the kitchen bin to the garbage bin outside. Not a huge task.
I've only bought them once - they don't fit even Amazon's own 13 gallon kitchen waste baskets - the drawstring breaks before you can even use them - and if you fill a bad anywhere close to 90% be prepared to clean up a mess by the time you make it to your garbage can.

Good input. When we receive ours, we'll use them right away to determine and if crap, we'll return them.

$7.07 all in - thanks OP!

These have been perfect for years going from kitchen to outside bin. Not one leak or tear issue. Replaced my previously more expensive Sam's bags. Some people here complain about anything and everything!

Trusting Amazon reviews on an Amazon made product is the silliest shit I've seen this week. And I've watched a few Trump clips.

$6.83 with tax for me... I have used these in the past and still have some left, never an issue with leaks or that drawstring breaking, I tie in the can jerk it free of can and haul out to can outside and never an issue... save those used zip locks for anything liquid and then if you snag bag you are not leaking..

I trust 5088 reviews over 1 rando on Slickdeals that may fill his bags with shards of glass and complain they break.

Kinda weird how you're deflecting from the point and creating a hypothetical when I was providing a fact. But, okay.
