For yard waste and shop use I like the Sam's Club Member's Mark bags, which are bigger, thicker, and tougher for these uses.
Trash bags have gotten pricey of late.
They were cheap so I bought a 200 count box, but I only use them outside of the kitchen because they're dogshit quality.

Amazon Basics 13 gallon drawstring trash bags are a low cost kitchen bag option that works well for everyday bin to outside can use. The drawstrings fit well for some, the bags are reported to hold 15 to 20 pounds, and long term use has been fine for several households with no leaks or tears. The main drawbacks are fit and consistency, with reports of bags tearing, seams splitting, drawstrings failing, and some boxes arriving with sealing defects. A solid everyday pick if your trash loads stay fairly light.
The drawstrings can be strong enough for regular kitchen-to-outside bin use without frequent failures.
The deal price can drop to $6.47 with a first-time Subscribe & Save discount plus an additional 25% off.
The bags can handle about 15-20 pounds of household garbage without leaking or tearing easily.
The bags can work well for moving trash from a kitchen bin to an outside bin without leak or tear issues over years.
The bags can tear easily and the ties can separate from the bag during use, creating mess risk.
The bags can leak liquids and the drawstrings can be poorly designed so they do not seal or close effectively.
The heat-sealing process can be inconsistent, with bags sealed on both ends or not sealed at all.
The bags can fit poorly on some 13-gallon kitchen waste baskets and can cause drawstring breakage near full loads.

for a $10 outlay it is. about 11.5c a bag. Ideally 10cents or less is the goal, but often you have to spend more/get more to achieve that these days.

These have been perfect for years going from kitchen to outside bin. Not one leak or tear issue. Replaced my previously more expensive Sam's bags. Some people here complain about anything and everything!
