2026 MONOPOLY® Game At McDonald's Official Rules
(the "Official Rules")
No purchase is necessary to play or win a prize. A purchase will not improve chances of winning. To participate in the Game (defined below) and claim any prize won, eligible participants must have or download the McDonald's app (the "McDonald's App"), opt in to MyMcDonald's Rewards, register for the Game in the McDonald's App and complete all of the other Participation Requirements described in Rule 3 below.
Each winner (and any minor winner's parent or legal guardian for themself and on behalf of the minor) may be required to participate in the prize fulfillment process and sign documentation, such as a release, as more fully detailed below.
By participating, you (and, if you are an Eligible Minor as defined in Rule 2, your parent or legal guardian) unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor (defined in Rule 1), which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Game. These Official Rules are a contract. Without limitation, this contract includes a limitation of your rights and remedies. As more fully detailed below, you agree that all disputes associated with the Game will be decided by binding arbitration and you and Sponsor hereby waive the right to assert claims in any class or representative action (refer to Rule 14).
Rule 1. Game Overview.
2026 Monopoly Game At McDonald's (the "Game") is sponsored by McDonald's USA, LLC ("Sponsor"). During the Game Period (defined below), eligible participants (each, a "Participant" or "you") can win food (a "Food Prize") or MyMcDonald's Rewards Points with a winning Game Piece (defined below), try to collect sets of Monopoly properties to win prizes in the Collect to Win portion of the Game and play for a chance to win other prizes in the instant-win "Chance Card Game" in the McDonald's App. Refer to Rule 2 and Rule 7.C. for full eligibility details.
To play the Game during the Game Period, obtain a Game Piece by purchasing an Eligible Menu Item (while supplies last). Refer to Rule 4.A.(1) for a description of Eligible Menu Items that include a Game Piece. You can also obtain a Game Piece without a purchase by following the instructions in Rule 4.A.(2) below (while supplies last). You can earn a bonus Chance Card Game play (defined below) for each Eligible Menu Item ordered (during the Game Period, while supplies last) via Mobile Order & Pay (pickup or delivery) or when using your MyMcDonald's Rewards code while ordering – but ONLY IF you register for the Game in the McDonald's App before ordering. A bonus Chance Card Game play is valid for one play in the Chance Card Game and will be automatically added to your My Game Account (defined below).
Once you have a Game Piece, peel it, register for the Game in the McDonald's App (if you are not already registered) and use the McDonald's App to scan or enter the Game Code (defined below) on your Game Piece and thereby claim any property collected, prize won or Chance Card Game play, all by the dates detailed below. You may scan/enter the Game Codes for up to eight Game Pieces in your My Game Account each Day (measured in Eastern Time and defined below).
Once you scan/enter a Code for a Chance Card Game play, you will be taken to the "Chance" section within the McDonald's App; then, follow any instructions to complete the Chance Card Game play. (Note that the "play" animated experience(s) presented will not determine whether you win a prize; all prizes in the Chance Card Game are time seeded and winning is determined by what time you begin a play.) You may play the Chance Card Game up to eight times per Day. Unused plays in the Chance Card Game may be played on subsequent days (up to eight per day) until 11:59:59 p.m. LT (defined below) on November 8, 2026.
Refer to Rule 3 below in these Official Rules for full instructions on how to download and use the McDonald's App for this Game.
Except as otherwise specifically stated in these Official Rules, all times mentioned in these Official Rules are local time ("Local Time" or "LT"), which refers to the time of day at the location of a particular Participant in the Territory. The "Game Period" begins on October 6, 2026, at 12:00:00 a.m. LT and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 1, 2026, while Game Pieces last. (Eligible Participants will have the opportunity to pre-register to play the Game as early as September 22, 2026. However, game play ("Game Play") does not start until the Game Period begins.) Earning of bonus Chance Card Game plays on qualifying purchases (as described in Rule 4.B.) is also available only during the Game Period. Game Pieces available on packaging for Eligible Menu Items (listed in Rule 4.A.(1)) that are not distributed before the end of the Game Period may continue to be distributed until exhausted or 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 22, 2026 (whichever occurs first). Participants who receive a Game Piece after the Game Period may continue to scan/enter Game Codes from Game Pieces in the McDonald's App to claim prizes and collect Monopoly property pieces (and, if applicable, claim any prizes potentially won) until 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 22, 2026.
The Chance Card Game ends at 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 8, 2026.
As described above, you may scan/enter up to eight Game Codes from Game Pieces into your My Game Account per Day and may play the Chance Card Game up to eight times per Day ("Daily Limit"). Please note that, unlike other aspects of Game play, for these purposes a "Day" is measured in Eastern Time ("ET") and is defined as a 24-hour period from 12:00:00 a.m. ET to 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
The clock for the server(s) hosting the Monopoly Game within the McDonald's App will be the official timekeeper for the purposes of this Game.
Rule 2. Who Can Play/Win.
A. Who is Eligible.
The Game is open only to individuals who are residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia (the "Territory") who are 18 years of age or older on the day of participation and who have completed the Participation Requirements (refer to Rule 3). An eligible Participant who is at least 18 years of age but has not reached the age of majority in their state of residence (an "Eligible Minor") may require a parent or legal guardian to claim a prize. The Game is void where prohibited.
Note: If any Participant is determined or reasonably suspected by Sponsor or the Redemption Center (defined below) to be participating or attempting to participate in the Game with more than one McDonald's App account and/or more than one My Game Account registration, that individual may, in Sponsor's sole discretion, be disqualified, have any prizes forfeited (including the cancellation of any prizes automatically added to a McDonald's App account(s) in question) and that individual will be prohibited from any further Game play. They may also, in Sponsor's sole discretion, be prohibited from participating in any future game or other promotion that Sponsor may offer and/or may have their McDonald's App account closed.
B. Who is Not Eligible.
Persons in any of the following categories are not eligible to participate in, or to win a prize in, the Game: (a) any person who, on or after April 1, 2026, was or is a director, officer, employee, member, manager or franchisee of Sponsor or its parent, subsidiaries or affiliated companies; (b) any director, officer, employee, representative or agent of any other Game Entity (defined in Rule 11) who is or was involved in the development, production or distribution of the Game or materials for or related to this Game (provided that, for clarity, all directors, officers, employees and representatives of the administrator and the Redemption Center (defined below) are ineligible to participate in the Game); (c) any director, officer, employee, representative or agent of any advertising or promotional agencies, service agencies or independent contractors of Sponsor who is or was involved in any way with the development, production or distribution of the Game or materials for or related to this Game; (d) any other individual involved in the development, production or distribution of the Game or materials for or related to this Game or provision of services related to this Game; (e) any person who is or purports to be an immediate family member (defined as spouse, dependent for federal income tax purposes, parent, siblings, children or step-, biological, foster, in-law or adoptive parents, siblings or children of) or who resides or is domiciled in the same household as, any person in any of the preceding categories.
Further Note: Notwithstanding the eligibility restrictions set out above, the directors, officers and employees of a Prize Partner (and any person who is or purports to be an immediate family member (as described immediately above), or who resides or is domiciled in the same household as such person) can participate in the Game but are not eligible to receive and may not claim any prize provided by the Prize Partner for which they work.
C. To be Eligible to Win.
Winning any prize requires that the potential winner of the prize is, and remains, in compliance with these Official Rules. Until a potential winner is verified to be eligible and in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winner is, and will remain, a potential prize winner, unless the potential winner is disqualified for not complying with the Official Rules and/or not being eligible to participate in the Game (refer to Rule 10). Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any potential winner who Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines is not permitted by law to receive a prize. Sponsor reserves the right to refrain from conducting any advertising or publicity associated with a winner for any reason.
Rule 3. McDonald's App, McDonald's App Registration, Opt In To MyMcDonald's Rewards And Registration For Game Required.
In order to fully participate in the Game and/or claim any prizes won, eligible Participants must (if not already done): (A) download (or update) the current McDonald's App; (B) register for the App; (C) opt in to the MyMcDonald's Rewards Program; and (D) register for the Game (collectively, the "Participation Requirements"). All of this must be done in advance of placing a qualifying order to earn a bonus Chance Card Game play (defined below) with qualifying purchase.
A. Download the Current McDonald's App.
Participants can download and install the McDonald's App on their eligible Mobile Device (refer to Rule 5). The McDonald's App is free. Data rates may apply. Use of the McDonald's App is subject to the and the . Any use of the McDonald's App in violation of the Terms & Conditions for McDonald's Online Services may be deemed a violation of these Official Rules.
B. Register for the McDonald's App.
Once you have downloaded the McDonald's App, if not already registered, follow the in-app prompts to complete the registration process for the McDonald's App. You must use an email address that is valid and that you currently have access to, because the email address that you use to register for the McDonald's App will automatically be used as your email address with respect to the Game. Once registered for the McDonald's App, your email address cannot be changed (except with regard to designating an email address for receipt of certain prizes) and any prize-related emails will be sent to that email address. Note: There is a limit of one McDonald's App account per Participant and one Participant per McDonald's App account.
Note: Your McDonald's App account may be linked to an @privaterelay.appleid.com email address or a functionally similar proxy email address provided by another email masking, relay or alias service ("Masking Service") that is designed to forward emails sent to the proxy email address to your designated destination email address. Tap on the Game tile, go to the menu and click on My Account to verify the email address associated with your McDonald's App account and My Game Account. Neither Sponsor, nor any other Game Entity, is responsible for any delay or non-receipt of Game-related emails (including, without limitation, prize delivery emails) due to your use of a Masking Service (including, without limitation, misconfiguration or malfunction of such Masking Service) or any filtering by your email service provider for any reason of emails forwarded to your designated email address by your Masking Service.
C. Opt in to MyMcDonald's Rewards & Deals ("MyMcDonald's Rewards").
Opting in to MyMcDonald's Rewards is free. If not already opted in, to opt in, open the McDonald's App, click "More" in the bottom menu, then "Profile," then "MyMcDonald's Rewards" and then toggle the button to "Opt in to MyMcDonald's Rewards & Deals". When you are opted in, the toggle will be set to the "on" position. When you are not opted in, the toggle will be set to the "off" position.
D. Register for the Game.
Navigate to the home screen of the McDonald's App, click on the Game banner and follow the prompts to create your Game profile ("My Game Account") by providing the required information and agreeing to all applicable terms — including, without limitation, these Official Rules and McDonald's Privacy Statement; then click the submission button. Your My Game Account will sync with your McDonald's App account, and each time you return to the McDonald's App and tap on the Game promotional banner, your My Game Account will be synced with your McDonald's App account. A record of all played and claimed Game Codes (defined below), if any, will be maintained in your My Game Account.
Rule 4. How To Play.
To play the Game, you will need to obtain one or more official game piece(s) for this Game ("Game Piece") during the Game Period (while supplies last).
A. Obtaining a Game Piece.
(1) Receive a Game Piece by Purchasing an Eligible Menu Item:
An eligible Participant can receive a Game Piece by visiting a participating McDonald's restaurant in the Territory (or ordering from such a restaurant via delivery) during the Game Period and purchasing one of the following items (each an "Eligible Menu Item"), while supplies of specially marked packaging/game piece cards last.
One Game Piece (refer to "D." of this Rule 4 for types of Game Pieces available) will be affixed to packaging for the following Eligible Menu Items (or provided via a separate game piece card provided with purchase at some restaurants):
Large Hot McCafé® Beverages (Premium Roast Coffee, Mocha, Latte, Cappuccino, Americano, Macchiato, as well as Hot Tea and Premium Hot Chocolate);
Large Soft Drinks;
Large Iced Coffees, Iced Teas, Lemonade and McCafé® Specialty Drinks;
Large Fries;
Quarter Pounder® w/ Cheese Sandwich;
Big Mac® Sandwich;
10-Piece Chicken McNuggets® (regular only, not Spicy Chicken McNuggets®);
4-Piece McCrispy® Strips;
Hash Browns;
Biscuit Sandwiches (excluding limited-time Biscuit Sandwiches); and
McMuffin® Sandwiches.
These specially marked packages will be available for the Eligible Menu Item during the hours when that menu item is served, while supplies last. The hours during which particular menu items are served vary. Once the supply of specially marked packaging for any item is exhausted, it will not be replenished.
Note: Seasonal and limited-time-only menu items that might otherwise fall into one of the categories above are excluded and do not qualify as an Eligible Menu Item.
Note also: We suggest you check your order to make certain each Eligible Menu Item has a Game Piece before you leave the counter or Drive Thru.
(2) Receive a Game Piece Without Making a Purchase:
You can receive one Game Piece (which also earns you one bonus Chance Card Game play) when you mail in a Request (defined below) in a postage-paid (not metered) outer envelope to: 2026 Monopoly Game at McDonald's, PO Box 4006, Dept S9851, Grand Rapids, MN 55730-4006. Your Request must be mailed no sooner than September 22, 2026, and must actually be received at the above address no later than November 2, 2026. Within the outer envelope there must be one self-addressed envelope that uses the Participant's complete mailing address and sufficient return postage (first-class stamp; not metered) (each is a "Request"). Vermont residents may omit return postage. Limit one Request per outer envelope. Any additional Requests will not be honored or returned. Both the mailing and return addresses on the exterior envelope must be legible. Any Request that fails in any way to comply with the requirements set out in this paragraph or that are not mailed separately bearing sufficient, non-metered postage will not be honored. While supplies last, one Game Piece will be mailed in response to each Request that complies with these requirements.
Please Note: When the Participant receives a Game Piece through this method specifically and enters the Game Code from that Game Piece in their My Game Account, they will also get one bonus Chance Card Game play (defined in Rule 4.B. below) deposited in the Participant's My Game Account, that Participant can use to play the Chance Card Game. As described above, the Chance Card Game ends at 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 8, 2026, and any Game Piece received through this method that is entered into your My Game Account after that time will not result in earning a bonus Chance Card Game play.
B. Get a Bonus Chance Card Game play.
If you have opted in to Rewards and registered for the Game, then, when you purchase an Eligible Menu Item (list in Rule 4.A.(1)) during the Game Period (ends at 11:59:59 p.m. LT on November 1, 2026) and either associate your Rewards code with your order or order using Mobile Order & Pay in the McDonald's App, you will automatically receive one bonus play in the Chance Card Game ("bonus Chance Card Game play") in your My Game Account in the McDonald's App for each Eligible Menu Item purchased. Use of the bonus Chance Card Game play is subject to the Daily Limit.
C. Play/Redeem Your Game Pieces/Game Codes.
When a Participant peels a Game Piece, it will reveal one of four types of Game Piece, as detailed in "D." of this Rule 4. To claim what was revealed, the Participant must scan/enter the unique alphanumeric code found on the Game Piece ("Game Code") in the McDonald's App (subject to the Daily Limit). To do so, open the McDonald's App, click on the Monopoly banner, then click the "Add Code" button and scan/enter the Game Code from your Game Piece.
As described in Rule 8, potential winners may be required to submit Game Pieces for verification. Please keep your Game Pieces after scanning/entering them in the McDonald's App!
Note: In the event a power outage or similar interruption occurs once you've added a Game Code, check in your My Game Account to see if the Game Code play was received. If it was received and played, you will see the outcome of that Game Play. If there is no record of that Game Code, reenter the Game Code to complete the play.
Tap "My Game Account" to view all of your Game Codes/Game Pieces entered and prizes claimed. Prizes not yet claimed will be found in the Claim Prizes section until November 22, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. LT.
D. Game Piece Types.
There are four different types of Game Piece that a Participant could receive. Note: The Game Piece should be removed from the packaging as soon as possible.
(1) Food Prize Game Piece: A Game Piece may indicate that a Participant has won a Food Prize (refer to Rule 6.A.). In such case, the actual Food Prize will be identified when you scan/enter the Game Code found on that Game Piece in your My Game Account of the McDonald's App. Note: Once claimed in the McDonald's App by scanning/entering the Game Code, all Food Prizes are automatically added to and must be redeemed via your McDonald's

It's really sad how these days so many promotions are being destroyed by these same people. Back in the day there were so many good promos companies gave out and these people come out and destroy it in seconds.

No. If you would like to request a Game Piece without purchase, you must follow the directions in FAQ 14. There is no online digital form to submit a Game Piece request

Jersey Mikes took a shit on their game as well and didn't go for the middle of the road. They really expect people to play all season for a chance at one of 50 prizes (50 gift cards, one trip).

They should have just made it where if you want to play AMOE you don't get any code, you get a play automatically added that is tied to your account which would liquidate the bots which is the the whole reason they are doing this mail-in this year, it's those greedy ass people that were selling 50,000+ codes from one account for profit ruined it for everyone going forward, it's the same people that destroyed another program we had here. Like I said make an AMOE tied to your account, heavier ID/Affidavid verfication for physical and cash prizes. Instead of spending $2 for postage just buy some fries or something.
The thing about the mail-in this year is you might spend $20 in postage and just get a bunch of non-rare locations with no food as prizes, that would suck. I'm better off buying a scratch-off ticket from the lottery.
