I think it depends on your disposable income, your elevation (for whether temp control really matters or not), and how much you like Fellow design. If a pourover is the exception, there are much cheaper goosenecks that don't have temp control (~$20-25) and even with temp control (~$40-50 on deep discount).

But people really love their Staggs! Only complaint I've heard is it's slow to pour, so if you're heating water for tea or for pasta, I hear people just skip the Stagg and heat some other way.

If you're asking if this is worth it, it's not. There are 5-20 dollar options on Amazon all the time. This thing heats water and that's it.

People who buy this don't want a kettle that heats water, they want a kettle that heats water at the TEMPERATURE they want accurately.

This vs an induction kettle. I have an induction kettle already and it's very quick to heat water. But it's not a gooseneck for my coffee.

Yeah it's a good kettle but since we got an Aiden, it only gets used for tea when I'm sick. And I can only hit 204-205 at my elevation so I hardly need temp control, just as hot as it will go. The gooseneck also is too slow for tea, I just pop the lid off the top and pour it out that way.

Now that I think of it, it'd be way faster to just use a small pot on the stove…
