I purchased and returned the same day. The print quality is worse than my 20 year old Zebra LP2844s.

And you can get those used on eBay if you look for around $40.

The print heads on the phomemo are low quality and will probably burn out after a couple months. More of a smear than a dot matrix.

Also would not feed properly on my 1"x2" labels. It would calibrate them fine but when it came to printing the platen roller would keep spinning and the labels would get stuck.

I'm pretty sure these cheap Chinese printer parts are made in the same factory so this applies to all the cheap brands.

Again I'm pretty picky on labels for my shipping packages. Would this satisfy the average person, maybe.

Seeing a review that says this requires a $45 yearly subscription. Is this correct?

I have basically the same thing without the bells and whistles, just USB cable. It works fine, what you're doing is printing a 4x6 picture. If the download is a PDF or a picture, that looks like it's proper size, (4x6 label or close to it) you just do file > print and select 4x6 and auto-scaleit using the checkbox. If it is sometimes a full page with some words on it (ie. Amazon returns have the label on a regular piece of paper with a cutout of the description, I would just take a screenshot of the label and then do file > print and select 4x6 and validate the print preview.

These are give or take all made by the same company in random chinese factory and re-badged with a random name brand.

I tried a bluetooth one I was hoping to do PC > Bluetooth but it didn't work so here I am with USB only. I am hesitant on installing random Chinese iphone/android app as well and realistically in 5 years time I doubt the apps will be supported anymore. I think the one I bought was like 15 bucks posted on SD here so sales happen often I think if you can wait out. If you are really set on the bluetooth one, I feel it could be cheaper (just search SD history for pricing)

Only thing I can say that can be annoying is if you don't feed it straight, it doesn't print out straight. I print once in awhile so I actually just feed one print at a time,

The Phomemo PM64D is a budget 4 by 6 thermal shipping label printer that is best for quick eBay and Amazon labels, especially if you want peel and stick convenience without ink or tape. It prints directly from downloaded 4 by 6 labels, and the setup can work well once the default paper size is changed to 4 by 6. Print quality and reliability depend on the label stock and setup, though, and the touchscreen feels gimmicky. Bluetooth and network printing can take extra tinkering, so it suits low cost label printing more than a polished out of the box experience.

  • The printer can print 4x6 shipping labels directly from downloaded eBay labels.

    bbierdaimbert

  • The printer can work for high-volume eBay label printing without ink or paper hassles.

    daimbertDeal-R-Dash

  • The printer can be used with a practical 4x6 workflow by adjusting print defaults.

    VanillaXtractDAC21

  • The printer can be made to print from iPhone and Mac without Bluetooth pairing using an AirPrint bridge setup.

    warre2m

  • The promo code can keep the checkout total at the advertised $49.99 price.

    citan359

  • The printer can hold up after printing close to 1,000 labels.

    WARHAWKSS

  • Bluetooth printing may be limited to the Labelife app on iPhone and Mac, requiring workarounds for broader wireless use.

    warre2mqsub

  • The print quality can be worse than older Zebra thermal printers, with smearing instead of crisp dots.

    SplendidWren165

  • The printer can have feeding and label-sticking problems on 1x2 labels even after calibration.

    SplendidWren165

  • The touchscreen may feel like a gimmick, and included labels can be low quality enough to affect print quality.

I'd also like to know this. Any eBay sellers using one of these?
Yes these are great for Ebay. I use 4x6 inch self-stick labels. I also use the snipping tool app within Windows to grab a screen shot of the labels that Amazon kicks out for returns and print the label directly to the label printer. The convenience of being able to peel and stick a label onto a package is just fantastic. No printer ink, folding paper, tape or other PITA to deal with!

Too much Chinese junk and too many sellers pushing cheap, low-quality products. It feels like Slickdeals has been taken over by sellers promoting nothing but garbage products and fake comments.
Staff gets paid for these, so it's mostly staff making money at our expense pushing these junk

Meh. If you print a LOT of labels, just splurge on the brother thermal printer. Quality of the prints matter.
Why the brother, isn't Zebra the gold standard?

My Zebras I've done 10's of thousands of labels through.

Yes I use pirate ship and I also use eBay shipping it depends. If I sell off eBay I always use pirate ship they're about the same price.
Pirate ships is a little more flexible and offers a cost-effective international shipping option so I usually use them instead of eBay for shipping.

I'm a low volume mailer so I usually just use 1/2 sheet labels on my laser printer. The sheets are ordered from UPS who provides them for free. The say for UPS use only on their border but USPS doesn't care.

L0YKMCL9 still seems to work, but you might need to switch to the $129.99 one sold by Phomemo-YQ by clicking through "Other sellers on Amazon"
