Been looking for a CD player. However, on this one the only thing missing is a dedicated Optical out. Using a 3.5 mm to Optical (which is not even included it seems) means you're using the internal DAC and cannot bypass, to your own (possibly superior) DAC.

That is strange. I'm not familiar with 3.5 mm optical outs, but they do specify it.

I think these are sometimes called mini toslink. I have a couple of toslink to mini toslink cables in my horde
