These KOOPER solar motion flood lights are best understood as a cheap, easy-to-install outdoor lighting fix that avoids new wiring and can stay on through the night when they get enough sun. The adjustable solar panel and flexible heads add placement convenience, and the low per light price makes replacement math easy for disposable solar gear. The main concern is durability, with reports of failures after days, weeks, or months, often tied to battery or water intrusion. Sealing the seams with silicone is a common workaround, making them a practical short term option if weatherproofing matters.

  • The lights can be installed without running new electrical wiring, which simplifies outdoor setup.

  • The solar panel can be adjusted all the way back, and the light bodies are flexible for positioning.

  • Silicone sealing the seams can help prevent leaks, and the lights reportedly kept working after three years.

  • Some units reportedly stay on throughout the night in a backyard after purchasing the product twice.

  • The lights reportedly failed within about two to three days, with sporadic operation before stopping entirely.

  • A similar deal purchase reportedly went bad within a couple of weeks, indicating potential early battery failure.

  • A separate purchase reportedly lasted only about six months at most, which limits long-term value.

  • Water intrusion reportedly can cause corrosion, including a bottom light turning brown when mounted vertically.

Just purchased.
We'll see how long these will last. Will be sealing them up with silicon the best I can before installing outside. This has prolonged the life of other cheap solar lights.

Do you seal the solar part or light part?

Can the solar panel on this one be angled backwards? I have a north facing fence and all of these lights have their panels fixed to be the same direction as the light, and I don't get nearly enough charge. If not these, anybody know of a light with rear facing solar?

This is a good deal. I have purchased this twice so far. The lights stay on throughout the night in my backyard.

Cheap solar floods are basically consumables at this point. I keep a spare in the shed and swap it in when one quits, and it's usually the battery that goes, not the LEDs. Under $7 a head, that math works.

Yes, I don't want to touch any electrical wire so this work and easy to install without the need to run new wire.

Yes the solar part can be turned all the way to the back. They are very flexible. I could not believe how 2 were in a small box when they arrived.
