The batteries are very good. They are premium tabless cell 4Ah Powerpack batteries would be great for this drill but have enough power to run high draw tools like circular saws and angle grinders. They also make an 8ah Powerpack, which is the most powerful 20v battery Dewalt currently makes, and is powerful than any Flexvolt battery when run on a 20v tool. Dewalt will be releasing a tabless 12Ah Flexvolt battery, but I'm not sure when exactly it will be released.

My store had 7. They dropped it to $184 and still had 7. Dropped it to $154 and still had 7. They finally joined the $134 party and there's only 1 left. I'd get it, but bought the DCD800 already. This is a brute of a drill and will still work great when your grandkids are old (they'll just need new batteries).

I picked this up last time it showed on FP. Only store somewhat nearby had 4 showing in stock. I got there and asked an associate. They went and got one saying it was the last one. Checking again a few weeks later the stock shows 3.

I asked a store employee at a store that showed 2 and she couldn't find it. she suggested buying it online and then return and rebuy at the store. is that something they would actually allow?

Anyone else notice runout/chuck wobble in theirs? It was pretty bad using a 5/8 spade bit. My Ryobi compact HP didn't. The DeWalt shook more, too, with the same technique. I found a video from WorkshopAddict showing the 801/806 have it but the 800 doesn't.

Not familiar with runout. Is this common, does this matter?
