This 2457 model is preferred by some over the fuel version of the same generation for its more compact head that can fit into tighter spaces. I have no experience owning either variant, just happen to be in the M12 ecosystem and know about some of the tools that I don't have.

There will always be the right tool for the right job, this one just happens to fit more in smaller spaces than a faster, bulkier one. Now there are more expensive ones that can fix the space issue, but they do cost more. This one is an older model of their electric ratchet, but the batteries they throw in are good ones that can power any M12 tool and on some tools, allow them to reach their full potential such as their
impact wrench.

Price not good but I own this the the fuel version. I grab this more since it has a small head. But I will not pay 199, it's normally free tool with other stuff of $80-$90 sale price.

Since the batteries can be had on sale for $50 ea if you're patient, this puts the ratchet + charger @ $100. With the Christmas season not too far off, I expect we'll see the ratchet in the $70-75 range. I agree with the comments about getting the Furl version (I have it and love it), but this will still work fine. If you need one now, you're only paying $20-30 more over waiting a few months. Still, if you can make it to BF, I would hold off

I own this - its a good tool. I prefer using it with the smaller batteries as you have to break anything loose with manual force anyway, and the bigger batteries just get in the way. Any version of these (fuel, etc) will not break loose a really tight nut like an impact wrench does, so smaller is better. Also have an older, much cheaper Husky of similar size (non removable battery) that works just as good. I just leave my 10mm on that one and grab it quite often...

I believe I have this model or one similar. This is a 'loosen/tighten it with your strength, hit the switch to speed up for the rest of the threads' type of tool. Not a hammer drill... or not a lot of force. Just speeds up the slow part.
