- One camera's batteries failed after a week of moderate use (think 5x 10s clips a day). Blink replaced the batteries (Energizer Lithium AA). It took them almost two weeks to arrive.
- Second camera's batteries failed after a month of moderate use. Blink replaced them. Same long delivery time.
- Two more cameras had failed batteries at the two-month mark. I decided to buy my own Energizer Lithium AAs and replace them myself.
- Doorbell failed completely at 3 months. I'm waiting for a replacement.
- Cameras don't pre-recording like other brands (e.g. Reolink).
In short, these cameras are cheap for a reason. If I were to go back in time, I'd seriously reconsider purchasing them given all the strife I've had in such a short timespan. That said, while others complain about needing to pay to unlock a lot of features, I'm able to pay one annual price whether it's 1 camera or 20 cameras. So, amortizing the cost across cameras and per month, it's really trivial. If I was concerned about my own property (the one I live in), I'd choose a different manufacturer.
