DON'T BUY THIS COMPANIES DOCKS! THEY CLAIM HOT SWAPPABLE BUT THEY WRITE TO THE DRIVE THAT LOCKS IT TO THE DOCK AND CAN'T BE READ EVEN WHEN PLUGGED IN DIRECTLY TO THE HARD DRIVE. THE CHIPSETS ARE SHIT AND IF THEY FRITZ OUT LIKE MINE DID, YOU CAN ONLY RECOVER YOU DATA BY FINDING AN IDENTICAL ONE WITH AN IDENTICAL CHIP ON THE SAME REVERISION VERSION. (Or you have to go through Linux and jump through a bunch of hoops to jump through).

Having a few separate drives actually has some nice advantages over one huge drive. You can set them up with parity/redundancy so you still get protection if a drive fails without having to give up half your total storage to a full mirror.
