I have 3 sets I bought two years ago, each from a different vendor: 2 multicolored, one white. Used them one season, then they were brought inside and stored in the basement for the winter. Put them out again come summer and a few were DOA and couldn't be resurrected even with a battery change. Hung the rest, and many would regularly not light up. The tiny on/off switch inside is crap. Sometimes wiggling it will bring them back on for anywhere from a day to a week. Then lather-rinse-repeat. And we've had a dry summer (drought) so it isn't weather related.
They're pretty when they work, but for me ultimately a waste of money.
