But let me tell you all a tale. I got a lot of used office chairs from a business that was throwing them out. Nice chairs. Steelcase. I was so happy with the results on my office chair I bought four more sets of these. Guess what?
The Steelcase, unlike 90% of office chairs, have the stems integrated into the chair itself, not into the casters. I was lollygagging on installing them and didn't realize this until after the return period.
Anyway, now I have four sets of these but no use for them.
The point? Make sure your chairs have the caster style with the stem built in. Don't make my stupid mistake.
1. Ruined my laminate floor... small movements in different directions causes the wheels to spin around. The rubber twists into the floor and had enough friction to start grinding my laminate. I had to buy an office chair mat to protect my floor
2. Kinda dangerous... the chair rolls so smoothly, the lightest touch can move the chair. I've accidentally bumped the chair and lost it as i was sitting down. A bad slip is all it would take

Yeah you should try the dual-wheel style. The ones that have two wheels in tandem along an axle.
