This seems like solid deal. This style is far superior to the hard plastic type. I bought a set of these skateboard style to use on my office rolling chair and swapped them out. Very happy, no scratches on my hardwood floors.

But let me tell you all a tale. I got a lot of used office chairs from a business that was throwing them out. Nice chairs. Steelcase. I was so happy with the results on my office chair I bought four more sets of these. Guess what?

The Steelcase, unlike 90% of office chairs, have the stems integrated into the chair itself, not into the casters. I was lollygagging on installing them and didn't realize this until after the return period.

Anyway, now I have four sets of these but no use for them.

The point? Make sure your chairs have the caster style with the stem built in. Don't make my stupid mistake.

Good point, most generic office chairs will support these wheels. I guess you just need to watch out for name brand chairs and also Ikea, I believe Ikea stems are smaller than the average office chairs.
