Insanely high prices. If you want to pair this with the best graphics card available, that will set you back like $9000. Gonna be spending at least several hundred on ram

If RAM weren't so expensive, I'd be tempted. At this point, it's probably best just to wait for AM6.

The majority isn't buying a 5090 if it were even at MSRP. If someone was patient they can get 32gb DDR5 used for nearly half of its retail price. Alot don't like used but in today's market some stuff should be.

We're HOPING ram prices drop by the time AM6 releases. If not, AM4 folks will pretty much be forced to buy in no matter the ram prices...

lol, I totally would have stayed on AM4, ONLY IF I could have obtained a new x3d cpu, but my pc was struggling with bf6 and I upgraded.

Then amd re-released the 5800x3d when my return window was closed. Ugh.

5800x3d is a great option on AM4 for those that don't want to feed this terrible market.

the other components like GPU, Ram, Storage are ALL overpriced. You could still build a reasonable AMD build with 16gb DDR5 but compared to last year is insane

Yes, I would say this deal is only good for people with existing AM5 system who might want to upgrade from a 7000 series CPU.

Rather than complain a/b current market conditions which is out of everyone's control at this point, that's why you buy PC components ahead of time so when an opportunity like this one comes up, you can jump at the chance to taking advantage of the deal. Either that or go bargain hunting in the secondhand market. Everybody (i.e., sellers) has a price regarding what little they'd be willing to accept for you (as a buyer) to take something (i.e., PC component) off their hands. Just brush up on your negotiating skills and pick up on context cues or a seller's body language in order to come to a price that would fulfill their objective for selling said item.
