Anything about this make it better than any of the other cheaper projectors out there?

Yes it promises three things that everyone on Slickdeals cares so much about

Recycled Materials
Safer Chemicals
Worker well-being

And you have no reason to doubt the legitimacy of "TAI TAN KE JI (SHEN ZHEN) YOU XIAN GONG SI"

It's probably on par with the cheap ones u see everyday. For 99$ it might be worth it if you don't need Any thing fancy. But looking at the specs, it's probably bad.

This company has bad reviews for their other projectors online. I would assume it would be the same for this one, especially since there is no commentary on Reddit at all for this one...

I have my doubts about the lumens claim. If it really delivers 600 ANSI lumens at this price point then it would be worth it for me.

Recently bought one of these sub $100 projectors (specifically https://a.co/d/07NXWwTh) and found a few things:

1) The built-in speaker is not good. Fortunately I literally have the projector sitting behind my pillow, and I use it to watch movies with my girlfriend, who is not much of an audio buff, but I could see this being a problem.

2) Mine came with Netflix and Youtube built-in. Both work perfectly fine when I log in through them. That said, trying to cast remotely or even plugging in an HDMI to HDMI cord to it has been horrible. The audio and video have a 0.5 - 2 second lag, and sometimes the video lags.

I contacted the manufacturer of mine, and unfortunately they told me they have no solution around it. Wondering if anyone here had a better experience with this projector in terms of audio and video lag, given that the native apps they download can sometimes be limited.

This is a 1080p projector. The term supports 4k just means you can give it 4k and it will project 1080p...marketing technique that's all.

The Aurzen D1R Air is pretty good. Speakers are great and picture is just bright enough.
