Usually those $1–$2 sites are random gray-market keys or volume license (KMS/MAK) codes that risk getting deactivated down the road. StackSocial has been around forever and gives actual retail activation keys directly via email, which is why most people prefer paying a few bucks more for peace of mind.
Stacksocial is also grey market or volume license. They are simply a marketplace for 3rd party sellers. They do not sell anything directly, similar to Groupon. You are quite delusional if you think it is not grey market and yet it sells for $10 whereas on legit sites (best buy, newegg, etc) it is $100+

Compared to the standard $199 retail price for Pro, under ten bucks is pretty reasonable if you need BitLocker and sandbox support.

Yep, I bought an office pro from Stacksocial, it no longer works, so if taking a chance, just use the cheaper ones that can be found easily
