For $244 it should include someone to shave me with it.

Some people going to buy this, then turn around next week and say "I have no money! Why is life so hard?" as if they are unable to reflect on poor decisions being made.

Realistically speaking I will consider it if only it comes with 7 years worth of blades and disposable parts.

I went for one at this price. It's still not cheap, but it is a decent price on a great shaver that's worth it in my opinion.

It's a luxury purchase, but coming from a Braun series 7 the difference was night and day—closer shave, faster (takes me less than half the time), easier to clean up (does not get hair everywhere like the Braun), and no irritation. It's also significantly quieter, so no worries about waking up the wife while shaving like the Braun.

This shaver sucks compare to the braun. I would never buy a phillips shaver again. It doesn't get anywhere close to shaving like a braun shaver.

Question for those who have experience with this type of shaver, how often do the blades need to be changed? Once/ year? Once every 2 yrs?

If your experience is with the older / entry level norelco stuff, I'd be inclined to agree with you. I bought one ~15 years ago in college and returned it pretty quickly because it sucked and stuck to wet shaving every morning because I had nothing but time.

Otherwise, I'll agree to disagree. Having used them literally side by side, the prestige ultra does significantly better on my facial hair (curly, rough, and multidirectional...or basically all of the variables that foil shavers tend to struggle with). I've got no horse in this race other than sharing my experience. In fact, kind of the opposite since I have some investment interests in P&G (Braun's parent company)—If you prefer the Braun, buy it and buy plenty of the refill cartridges too please 🤣

If you keep the 5-7 years the cost per use is so nominal. People spend this much on a single dinner. Paying this price for something you use every single day seems like a no brainer
