These protein bars are mainly praised for a Barebells-like taste and texture, with a satisfying, candy-like bite and about 19 to 20 grams of protein in roughly 200 calories. The deal can land well under a dollar per bar with coupons or Subscribe and Save, and the variety pack is seen as a decent pantry treat. The main drawbacks are the maltitol and sugar alcohol aftertaste, occasional blandness, and some packaging or freshness issues on arrival. A solid value play if the ingredient tradeoffs do not bother you.
Common Questions (5)
They are repeatedly described as very similar to Barebells in taste and texture, with a large, satisfying bar and a texture some compare to Barebells almost exactly. A few notes mention a faint fishy smell, a bland flavor, or a weird maltitol aftertaste.
The bars contain maltitol, artificial flavors, palm oil, and bovine collagen. They also have 20g carbs per bar, including 7g from sugar alcohols, which is useful if you are checking the label for sweeteners or ingredient restrictions.
The deal has dropped as low as $7.50 for a 12-pack after coupon, and some shoppers also saw a 50% off coupon when buying two plus Subscribe & Save discounts. One reported paying $23.79 for two variety packs, which worked out to under $1 per bar.
One reported box had a December 2026 expiration date, but there are also reports of crushed packaging, missing bars, loose seals, and even spoiled bars with separated fat. Amazon refunds were issued in some of those cases, so checking the box on arrival is worthwhile.
The label is reported as 16g of muscle-building protein per bar, with the rest of the protein coming from bovine collagen hydrolysate. They are also described as about 200 calories or less per bar, so the protein-to-calorie ratio is the main draw for shoppers comparing macros.

IQBAR Almond Butter Chip Bars 24-Pack https://www.woot.com/offers/iqbar...-24-pack-0
"I'm eating one of these for the first time now. It's a very low sugar content, which I like since I'm diabetic. I like the texture. It's like cookie dough and it has a little crunch to it like you get a couple rice crispies in each bite. It has a light cinnamon taste. Kind of an almond paste texture mixed into it.
"I have the Built Puff bars, and those are the same carbs, but they feel like candy more than this, and I worry about them melting and some of the coating coming off. But I like the texture of these. So, personally, I like them well enough. Take this review as you will.
"Oh, and Costco has a mixed pack with 18 bars. 6 of each, peanut butter chip, chocolate sea salt and this one. It's $20 for them. This is the first one I've tried, because I wanted to know what I think after seeing what people thought of them here."
And here's the Costco deal. Says OOS in my area, but they had plenty a couple days ago. $19.79 in the "warehouse".
