I have this and have been using this for over a year, at least 1-2 times during non sports seasons and pretty much for every NFL and NBA game when season starts.

Its very bright and has built in Google tv which has Netflix and other streaming apps.

Is this a good deal for this model or does it often come down this low? Also, would this make for a good replacement of a 65 inch living room tv?

its an ok deal, not amazing. this models main negative is the poor contrast. other newer projectors around this price are the jmgo n1s 4k and xgimi flip 4k

and not even a $3000 UST projector with a $2000 ALR screen is a replacement for a TV...unless you like watching things in the dark

It's with noting that the projector in the OP claims 2300 ISO lumens while those claim 1700 and 1600, respectively.

You are right as TVs are light emissive, and projectors have to reflect off a screen. Projectors do have a theater feel as well as huge screen sizes. Although TVs are getting pretty big at accessible prices. To me projectors are starting to get into good input lag territory. I also like 3d which TVs dropped back in 2016. So if you like low input lag and 3d then projectors are for you. My 2016 3d TV input lag is just okay. It's not terrible, but I can notice it. Most new TV input lag is a non issue.

Unsure where this info is. Everywhere says 2300 including on manufacturer site. Am I missing something?

I bought this. It's working well. I replaced a BenQ w1070 lamp projector. The XGIMI is brighter and sharper, but the colors aren't as good. It sometimes does have handshaking issues with the HDMI and wants to take control from my FireTV Cube, which is plugged into my Onkyo receiver. Usually it's fine.

If you mean it looks like a stylish piece of furniture that is way more at home in the living room than most of the ugly 4k projectors, then I agree. The front actually slides up and down automatically when you turn it on and off.

This alert got my attention. But I'm looking for a deal on the Horizon 20 series; which is the line that comes after this one.

Hopefully on the upcoming Prime Day, the Horizon 20 Pro will be under the normal $1,669 (correction, $1,618.98) price

Over the past 30 days, the price of XGIMI HORIZON 20 Pro 4K RGB Triple Laser Home Projector has ranged from $1,618.98 to $1,999.00. The current price is $1,999.00, the highest in the past 30 days.

can I buy your w1070? It's the projector I already own but I feel like one day it may croak and it would be nice to have a backup.
