I have this and have been using this for over a year, at least 1-2 times during non sports seasons and pretty much for every NFL and NBA game when season starts.


Its very bright and has built in Google tv which has Netflix and other streaming apps.

How is the fan noise and throw ratio to get say 100-120in on the wall?

Is this a good deal for this model or does it often come down this low? Also, would this make for a good replacement of a 65 inch living room tv?

its an ok deal, not amazing. this models main negative is the poor contrast. other newer projectors around this price are the jmgo n1s 4k and xgimi flip 4k

and not even a $3000 UST projector with a $2000 ALR screen is a replacement for a TV...unless you like watching things in the dark

This projector does not have the new Alar coating which boosts production of the nano barline fibers. Those are new to this class of projector deferance. I'd pass on this and wait for the new XRIU model which comes with Aria capsule and GPT Plus encoded into the firewire terminals.

It's with noting that the projector in the OP claims 2300 ISO lumens while those claim 1700 and 1600, respectively.

You are right as TVs are light emissive, and projectors have to reflect off a screen. Projectors do have a theater feel as well as huge screen sizes. Although TVs are getting pretty big at accessible prices. To me projectors are starting to get into good input lag territory. I also like 3d which TVs dropped back in 2016. So if you like low input lag and 3d then projectors are for you. My 2016 3d TV input lag is just okay. It's not terrible, but I can notice it. Most new TV input lag is a non issue.
