This is a real company and it seems like they have a bunch of hard drives in stock at the old prices. They have a note, "We are currently updating our pricing." but they clearly haven't updated their prices in months if not years but it does let you check out. I ordered a few different drives to see if any actually ship at these prices. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

This refurb WD Ultrastar 20TB drive is attractive for NAS expansion and bulk storage at around $164, but the main story is fulfillment risk. The listing showed pricing update notices, cart glitches, and some drives appearing in stock while others would not add. Orders were later flagged as suspected fraud, sold out, or sent to refund after inventory checks. A few purchases went through, but the deal looks shaky and may not be honored at the listed price.

  • The listing price reportedly allowed a $164 purchase for a 20TB drive without tax.

  • Some exact linked drives reportedly still showed as in stock for at least one shopper.

  • A buyer reportedly received two drives for NAS expansion after ordering the 20TB model.

  • Orders reportedly hung in limbo when sales or support said the drives did not exist and would not ship.

  • Adding the 20TB drive to cart reportedly failed for multiple listings, with the cart spinning and not adding items.

  • Order status reportedly changed to "Suspected Fraud," which suggested the seller might not fulfill at the listed price.

  • Shipping and fulfillment reportedly stalled when CSR said stock was unavailable or not in "good condition," leading to refunds.

Seems shady...
They're legit. Here are some TrustPilot reviews. Of course, there's always a chance that the website and phone number are fake, impersonating the real TechAtlantix. The weird thing is that there's another tech company in Texas with the same name.

Ditto. In case it's a fake website stealing credit card info, I made up a Privacy virtual card just for this purchase. I limited purchases on the virtual card to this website so that number can't be used elsewhere if stolen. Unfortunately, it's the weekend so I'll have to wait until Monday+ for the order to process. The deal is just too good to pass up. But it's also too good to believe!

I got the 20TB drive for $164 (no tax!?). Because the deal is so unbelievable, I too expect a cancellation soon. Because I'm worried that it's a fake site impersonating the real TechAtlantix, I limited the risk by creating a Privacy virtual card just for this purchase.

Privacy is free service that creates new credit cards with usage limitations. For example, I created a card that can only be used on TechAtlantix. That way, the number would be useless even if stolen. And I plan to close the card in a week regardless of whether the order processed or rejected. You can also create credit cards that expire in 24 hrs. I wanted to do that but since it's the weekend, my order will take more than a day to process.

The company does do business in the UK and the UAE so they legitimately have overseas warehouses. Good luck!

When I try adding the 20 TB in the other one it doesn't allow me to actually add it the only one that allows me to add is the green one. I thought I saw one of them say out of stock. When I click add for the other two it just spins in a circle and it doesn't actually add it to the cart
You might just have to wait. My circle was spinning for 3-5 minutes before the order went through.

In for a cancellation and or stolen credit card.
I too am paranoid that it's a fake website impersonating the real TechAtlantix to steal CC info. That why I created a virtual Privacy card just for this purchase. The card can only be used on this website so it's basically useless even if stolen. And I'll cancel the card in a week regardless if shipment is confirmed.

Read my other post for more info. Or go to the Privacy virtual credit card website.

were anyone able to get their hard drive shipped with a shipping tracking number? I've been communicating with their CSR this whole week and they keep giving me the run-around. First they tell me they were out of stock and need to check with their "overseas team" which I accepted. It's been 3 full business days since I accepted that terms and today they tell me their "overseas team" doesn't have in stock. I purchased these drives last week. The CRS did make an excuse telling me that they didn't have any of the drives that were in "good conditions" to be sold to me and the ones they did have were "not in good condition". So the CRS is now going to initiate a refund. Get this, the 2 type of drives (bought many), they jacked up the prices or both drives a few days ago. There is still 1 drive I been keeping track and strangely, this drive (not going to post it sorry) has not increased in price.

I asked the CSR if they are essentially not honoring their transactions despite the 2 different types ARE SHOWN in-stock on their website today with the farken "Add in Cart" button on the page. Their CSR couldn't even answer me, apologized for my frustration and just give me a lame excuse of they ware working to update their listings/prices. This business is scumbag. They were lying to my face for these past few days and couldn't tell me the truth, treated me like I was dumb when their "overseas team" story is probably fabricated. They were waiting for me to get them to update my order to the current increase price, OR for me to cancel and then repurchase the new price which has gone up double and tripled.

Did anyone get their shipped with a tracking number or all you guys still on "Pending"?

I'm in the same boat as you, I wouldn't care if they didn't just blatantly lie about it saying that they're not in stock and then just jacking up the price for the same drive. Leaving them a google review of bad practices.
