This Daytona 3 ton low profile floor jack is praised as a fast, sturdy option for DIY tire rotations and SUV work, with enough reach for lowered cars and big vehicles. The rapid pump action and low profile design stand out, and the price looks especially strong versus higher priced long reach or Snap on alternatives. The main cautions are its weight, a 9 inch minimum height that rules out some low riders, and the short 90 day warranty. It reads like a solid garage jack when you want speed and reach more than portability.
Common Questions (5)
Yes for many DIY uses: it is described as quick to lift, solid for decades of Harbor Freight floor-jack use, and a strong value compared with pricier options like Arcan or Snap-on. The deal price is also noted as unusually low, with similar jacks previously selling around $120-$199 and the long-reach version costing about $275.
Yes. It has been used successfully on big SUVs, a Jeep Wrangler, a Ram 1500, and lowered cars. The jack's low-profile design and 18 1/4" lift make it practical for tire rotations and brake work, though the 9" minimum height means it will not fit very low riders.
The high-end Daytona line is often compared to Snap-on, but this deal jack is not the same as a Snap-on equivalent. The main practical differences called out are seals, valves, cylinder finishing, quality control, warranty, replacement parts, and lifespan; the deal model also has a 90-day warranty versus 3 years on higher-end Daytonas.
The jack is reported at about 18 1/4" lift height, with a 9" minimum height and 17.5" maximum lift mentioned in the thread. That makes it useful for many cars and SUVs, but not for very low riders or vehicles needing extra reach under the chassis.
No, it is considered too heavy for trunk storage and is better kept at home or in the garage. One user returned it after trying to keep it in a car and switched to a trolley jack instead.

They usually put the Pittsburgh jack on sale for Black Friday, it was $100 in 2025.
Snap On costs 3-5x the price of a good HF tool. Does this price justify the 10-20% gain in performance? A good HF tool always meet ASME specs. Do you need to buy a Rolex if you want to keep time?
My 40 yr old no-name jack does not have Viton seals or polished piston. The jack leaked oil a few years back. Replaced several O-rings and replaced the hydraulic fluid. Good for another 20 years.
I acquired free Snap On tools from retired/deceased rocket scientists. Still use HF tools because they work well and are easy to replace when they break.

Project Farm is great, but what I'd really like to see is a comparison of jacks that have been used and abused for a few years.

The high end Daytonas are good jacks and good value, but stop fooling yourself by thinking they're Snap-on equivalents.
After that, the lawsuit was dismissed, with prejudice, so the lawsuit cannot be brought before the court again.
It's super cringey, and I like snap-on tools.

Is it good enough for a shade-tree mechanic? Probably. Is it good enough for a professional mechanic? Maybe not.
Picked up a blue one in NJ. There was some other dude who came driving in a Tesla that picked one up too. I read in a previous post on Reddit that sometimes these sell out quick when on sale. The cashier at the store said it's one per customer though, just in case I was thinking of buying more then one, which I'm sure people try to do
