This Daytona 3 ton low profile floor jack is praised as a fast, sturdy option for DIY tire rotations and SUV work, with enough reach for lowered cars and big vehicles. The rapid pump action and low profile design stand out, and the price looks especially strong versus higher priced long reach or Snap on alternatives. The main cautions are its weight, a 9 inch minimum height that rules out some low riders, and the short 90 day warranty. It reads like a solid garage jack when you want speed and reach more than portability.

Is it dead?
It's an in-store deal, not online.

The Pittsburgh aluminum 1.5 ton low profile rapid pump racing jack will be $79.99 next week during the parking lot sale. I use it on my Wrangler that's 4200lbs, but I'm not lifting the entire rig at once.

Looks like this will work for an SUV from the reviews (19 7/8" lift) - For me, I don't have any low profile cars, so I think I'm liking this one more (18 1/4" lift) and it will be $89.99 tomorrow. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-t...70486.html

I've been looking for an extra jack to make tire rotations easier.
I use a chunk of 6x6 scrap post between my jack and the lift point on my Jeep.

The Daytona one is also an exact Snap-On jack. It's built on the exact same line as theirs and they sued the heck out of Harbor Freight for it and lost. Really quality/price wise by far the best option here
There's multiple versions of the Daytona. The one that is similar to snap on is different. Colors are the sparkle purple, sparkle red and yellow. I have the yellow one.

I saw an Arcan 3-ton all steel jack at Costco for $139 this week. Would that be better, considering Costco's return policy?

Harbor Freight floor jacks seem to be a very good value. I know the jack stands are not great but the floor jacks have always been solid, for decades.

Arcan makes good stuff, but I would say the Daytona is a better value.

Both are a great option and honestly we are lucky to have lots of floor jack options.

Exact same as Snap-On except for quality of seals, valves, polishing of cylinders, quality control, warranty, availability of replacement parts and lifespan.

The high end Daytonas are good jacks and good value, but stop fooling yourself by thinking they're Snap-on equivalents.
so how much do you owe the snapon truck?

Snap On costs 3-5x the price of a good HF tool. Does this price justify the 10-20% gain in performance? A good HF tool always meet ASME specs. Do you need to buy a Rolex if you want to keep time?

My 40 yr old no-name jack does not have Viton seals or polished piston. The jack leaked oil a few years back. Replaced several O-rings and replaced the hydraulic fluid. Good for another 20 years.

I acquired free Snap On tools from retired/deceased rocket scientists. Still use HF tools because they work well and are easy to replace when they break.
