They usually put the Pittsburgh jack on sale for Black Friday, it was $100 in 2025.
Snap On costs 3-5x the price of a good HF tool. Does this price justify the 10-20% gain in performance? A good HF tool always meet ASME specs. Do you need to buy a Rolex if you want to keep time?
My 40 yr old no-name jack does not have Viton seals or polished piston. The jack leaked oil a few years back. Replaced several O-rings and replaced the hydraulic fluid. Good for another 20 years.
I acquired free Snap On tools from retired/deceased rocket scientists. Still use HF tools because they work well and are easy to replace when they break.

Project Farm is great, but what I'd really like to see is a comparison of jacks that have been used and abused for a few years.

The high end Daytonas are good jacks and good value, but stop fooling yourself by thinking they're Snap-on equivalents.

Is it good enough for a shade-tree mechanic? Probably. Is it good enough for a professional mechanic? Maybe not.
Picked up a blue one in NJ. There was some other dude who came driving in a Tesla that picked one up too. I read in a previous post on Reddit that sometimes these sell out quick when on sale. The cashier at the store said it's one per customer though, just in case I was thinking of buying more then one, which I'm sure people try to do
