These are solid controllers - I use one for playing on my Legion Go S regularly.

Yeah I use these on my gaming PC rather than plugging in a switch controller. Works well...

Using the dongle vs Bluetooth Xbox controllers with my PC --- night-and-day better with less lag on these.

I like these too. Just wish they had a unifying dongle. Oh, and that they were $15. That would be great.

Ultimate 2c was built to hit a price point. While the features are there for the price, it does feel extremely cheap, and I have gone through a number of them with the bumpers failing and the extra buttons failing as well. Still good for the price point, just an fyi

I use one of these all the time for Tetris effect on steam. Very nice controller. My only complaint is that it remapped the controls for some reason when connected via bluetooth WITHOUT the dongle plugged in. Plugged in the dongle and now it works fine. Note, it you want to do a firmware update, the 8bitdo site will take you to a V1 updater that will not recognize the controller. Use the V2 site. https://app.8bitdo.com/Ultimate-Software-V2/

What's the diff between this and the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller that goes for $60? Just the extra charging base? Or am I missing something?

I think the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 (without the C) has a bunch of functional upgrades inside the controller itself, different sticks, better buttons, etc. However haven't tried it personally...too rich for my blood.

FWIW, I was like you until last week, I thought the Ultimate 2C and Ultimate 2 were the same thing. 8Bitdo also likes to be mega confusing with dropping and adding features depending on button layout, Switch vs Windows, dongle or no dongle, etc all can mean gyro, analog triggers, and what no will be missing. I also think they even have an Xbox branded controller which won't even work on an Xbox. Good controllers, but research heavily before buying to make sure whatever SKU you order actually does what you need.

The Ultimate 2 has the ability to interface with the software for programming, has TMR sticks, has RGB fire rings around the sticks, and has back buttons.

When switching from 2.4ghz to Bluetooth, the layout becomes Dinput, reversing the button layout. This is typical for most wireless controllers with multiple connection modes.
