It is kind of small, but I bet this would be really popular as a white elephant gift.

Good for sake?

I can't think of any other 6oz beverage where I've needed to drink it slowly, and warm.

These things are designed with planned obsolescence. 👎

Even if you keep them on the charging pad thinking you're doing your battery longevity a favor, it still uses the battery for heating and runs itself down then tops itself off occasionally. It does NOT use the power from the pad for heating like it should.

If you use these for several hours a day you WILL put multiple cycles on the battery every day, meaning the battery will be completely worn out within a year or two at best.

What's the point of this vs. an insulated 6oz bottle that keeps my drink warmer, for longer?

I have this, it's perfect for a double espresso, the standard mugs are too big and stop heating when the liquid gets too low. This works much better for smaller drinks.

Disregarding the absolutely ludicrous price, these things are HORRIBLE products that will eventually make coffee-drinking very frustrating for you. I've had 2 mugs that are falling apart (the glue on the base is coming off). I've had a total of 4 different charging bases (2 replacements) and all have failed very quickly, and I kept them very clean. The problem is that over time, the springs weaken in the charging pins, and you'll no longer make connection to charge them.

Support is horrendous, as well. I've seen rechargeable / heated mugs at a far more reasonable price that I would try before these. Simply because you won't feel bad throwing away something that's $20 versus something that cost around $350 with lids.

I had the 16 oz mug for several years. It was nice to have warm coffee. Will it stay hot, no. The pins on the charging base eventually fail. I bought a new charging base and that kept me going for another 2 years, then those pins failed. Would I buy another? ... probably not until its redesigned. I use an insulated cup now and its just as good and I can stick it in the dishwasher.
