I don't see on Amazon or on the company's site where these walnuts come from. In contrast, the walnuts at Costco say they are from the U S. So I might pass on these despite the good price.

Yes, Nature's Eats Chopped Walnuts are sourced directly from California orchards in the United States.
They are 100% natural, raw, and unsalted English walnuts produced under strict quality standards set by the California Walnut Board and the USDA.

$8.74 for me with S&S delivered with the October delivery. This is a great price. Use chopped walnuts a lot in the fall / winter for baked goods. A+ Deal.

And what store might that be? Walnuts typically run $7 to $10 per pound, depending upon where you buy them. I would LOVE to know where I could purchase them for only $4 per pound!

Giant Eagle has them for $3.99/lb for California walnuts or $6.49/lb for US pecans. Pecans do tend to run $8/lb but I always get walnuts for under $4. Sam's Club sells 2lb bags US walnuts for $8.48.

This will be a hit when I invite Paimon's unworthy human host and her much worthier brother to my upcoming cult party!

That explains it. I had to look up what a "Giant Eagle" was ... I live FAR from the nearest store. I do not have a membership to a buying club ... but may have to to get deals like this.

Curious to know, why would it matter if The Walnut Quality is good but comes from outside of the USA ?

These are under $4 at Aldi for a 16 oz bag of chopped walnuts.
