Way to pin/favorite certain categories?

The "Video Games Deals" is my most-visited category, alongside Books, and it's a bit annoying that every time I visit the SD frontpage I need to go to Categories -> View All Categories -> Video Games to get to it. I feel like it used to show me Video Games from the immediate Categories drop-down, but then at some point that changed.
It would be great if you could specify your favorite categories in your profile so that the dropdown or the pinned categories at the top modify accordingly.
